スリランカのリバーストン ピーク: ミニ ワールズ エンド
スリランカのリバーストン ピークへは、マータレーの町から約 30 km 離れたマータレー– ジランドゥルコッテ道路を下って行くことができます。急なヘアピンカーブのあるこの秘密の風の強い道からは、周囲の田園地帯の最高の景色を眺めることができます。ミニワールドエンドと呼ばれるほど。地元の人々の間では非常に人気がありますが、このエリアは一般的な観光客の間では比較的知られていません。したがって、この地域はスリランカの自然の美しさを提供しています。新鮮で緑が多く、露天商や観光客、ゴミや見苦しい建物によって汚染されていません。
気候はワールズ エンドがあるホートンズ プレーンズとよく似ており、リバーストンのトレッキングでは、セラエラとバンバラキリ エラという 2 つの優雅な滝も楽しめます。セラエラには便利な場所にいくつかの岩座があり、訪問者はそこから霧状のしずくのさわやかな冷たい噴霧を楽しむことができます。近くの淡水川テルガム オヤは、ちょっとした涼みに浸ったり、長くて大変なトレッキングの前後にちょっとリフレッシュしたりするのに利用できます。
トレッキングは片道約 2.5 キロメートルで、長くても 1 ～ 2 時間もかからないはずです。ピッタワラ パッタナとして知られるセクションを走り、リバーストン ピークにつながります。トレッキング途中の田園地帯からは、世界の一部の山岳地帯に特有の棚田と、美しい緑の中央高原の景色を眺めることができます。
リバーストン ピークは高さ 300 m の高さを誇り、近くのナックルズ山脈とテルガム川渓谷の霧のかかった素晴らしい景色を眺めることができます。静かで美しい環境を持つ山頂は、スリランカでの休暇中に瞑想したりリラックスしたりするのに最適な場所でもあります。リバーストンのトレッキングは、自然愛好家や、驚くような写真を撮りたい写真家にとって素晴らしい機会です。

Thotupola KandaTotapolakanda is the third highest mountain in Sri Lanka situated in Nuwara Eliya district 2,357 m above mean sea level. The mountain is located within the Horton Plains National Park. A trail to the top of the mountain, about two kilometres long, starts a few metres away from the Pattipola entrance to the Horton Plains National Park.
